Feel like giving up? Here’s What Frank Kern Says…

I’ll get to Frank in a moment…
Before that…
“Don’t even think about giving up before you’ve actually started!”
If you have a dream, an idea, a vision, don’t let that drift away as you start to learn just what it’s gonna take to get an online business started.
Yes it means figuring it all out. And it can be tough going…
I’m not just talking about how to get traffic, put up squeeze pages, write email copy that gets read and so on…
I’m talking about figuring out how to juggle a day job, looking after children, where to find the time to build an online business when you’re whacked, where to find the money to get the tools and information you need. How to carry on while listening to negative family members.
All that stuff and more…
It’s so easy to lose all your energy before you’ve actually started playing the game.
If you ever find yourself gripped by procrastination, negative self talk, hopping from one idea to the next, its important to know THIS IS NORMAL.
In my own world I personally spent many months (years even..wow) talking myself into things, out of things, imagining the glorious highs of success to feelings of complete hopelessness. This was before I’d actually followed through on any plan and even tried to sell a single thing online.
Everyone goes through times of frustration, pain and loss. Like anything else, making progress is taking the rough with the smooth. The road that is never plain sailing for long. The best I’ve learned to do is to accept that fact with a smile…and the occasional raised eybrow.
The person who had the biggest impact on my own quest to get into the Internet marketing game was Frank Kern. His story of losing everything after being sued by the FTC, and having to start again is totally inspiring.
If ever a guy felt like hiding away, giving up, and moving on it had to Frank. He refused to believe that he was defeated (despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary) and he carried on to become one of the most successful and best loved Internet marketers around.
In one of his old “Ultra Underachievers” newsletters, I often refer to his advice in times of “trouble”. (as I lean over to go through reams of paper in my “refer to often” pile would you believe I can’t find the damn article I’m looking for….)
Anyway from memory Frank puts forward the idea that basically everyone feels like giving up at some point.
He says, of course by carrying on we could lose time, money and things will definitely not work every time.
But, what is the cost of giving up?
Where are you going to be 5 years from now if you do carry on through the tough times?
Compare this to where you’ll be 5 years from now if you give up and worse, don’t even get started…
If you’re having a hard time either getting started or keeping it going, just think where you’ll be this time next year if you give up now ?
Giving up can cost you…
Keep on keeping on
Glen
