Wordpress Themes That Made Me Go “Wow” (Or… “Woo”)

Choosing a Wordpress template design is pretty fun. There’s a ton to choose from, and the best thing about it is most of them are completely free. In my video tutorial on choosing and installing a Wordpress template design, I show a couple of cool places where you can browse and download free themes that look eye-catching and professional.

I definitely recommend going down this road when you first start getting yourself online. You’ll want to keep your start-up costs as low as possible, and there’s no need to splurge on costly Wordpress themes.

However!… I have to mention one place that I stumbled across recently. If there was ever a reason to buy a Wordpress theme, it has to be woothemes.com. One of their themes caught my eye when I was browsing www.zmemusic.com so I followed the link to their site and their wordpress themes certainly are impressive.

Go to their site and take a look.

Like I said, you have to exercise some self-restraint sometimes and you can certainly get awesome designs for zilch. But, if you want that something extra special, check out woothemes and see if something takes your fancy!

The methods for getting traffic to a website is a topic that spans countless articles, books, videos, seminars, and blog posts! If you are new to it, it won’t take you long to get completely bogged down and confused by all the information, advice and recommendations… half of which tends to contradict the other half!

You might read about terms like “link building”, “link exchanges”, “article marketing”, “Search Engine Optimisation”, “Pay Per Click”, and numerous other phrases all in relation to getting visitors to your site.

Traffic to a website comes from a few key sources:

A common mistake that people make is to concentrate so much on generating traffic, that they neglect the quality of the site they are promoting - what it looks like and what it is saying. So when people arrive, all they do is click the back button or another external link and they never return. All that hard work gone to waste.

Fortunately, with the relatively new technology of blogs and the whole “web 2.0″ networking scene, it is easier to set your site up so that some of the traffic generating work is automated, and triggered partly by you actually attending to your blog, and making it as good as it can be - adding value to visitors when they get there, and making it more likely that they will not only return, but maybe even promote it!

This is what I briefly cover in this video tutorial. This is truly an introduction to getting traffic, but follow these steps and then keep up-to-date with the latest trends. Keep taking action and you’ll see results.
